Abstract
The crystal structure of methyl 4-hydroxy-3-nitro-2-(4-nitrophenyl)-5-(1,1,1-triphenyl-λ5-phosphanylidene)-1,3-cyclopentadiene-1-carboxylate was determined by crystallographic methods. The crystal, C31H23N2O7P, belongs to space group P21/n with cell dimensions of a = 11.0660(6), b = 21.1793(12), c = 11.7339(6)Å, β = 100.1860(10)°, V = 2706.7(3)Å3, Z = 4, Dcal = 1.390 Mg/m3, T = 120(2)K. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least squares to final values of R1 = 0.0559 and wR2 = 0.1122 with 4470 reflections (I > 2σ(I)). There is an intramolecular-hydrogen bond between the O(2) atom of the nitro group and the hydrogen of the OH group.
