Crystal Structure of 3,4-Dihydro-2H-1,5-benzodioxepine-7,8-dicarboxylic Acid

Abstract

The crystal structure of the title compound, having a 6 - 7 membered ring, was determined by the X-ray diffraction method. The compound crystallized in the monoclinic space group C2/c with cell parameters a = 4.2679(14)Å, b = 21.128(6)Å, c = 11.372(4)Å, β = 95.354(10)°, and Z = 4; the final residual factor was 0.0445 for 1012 reflections.
