Crystal Structure of Acenaphthene-1′-one-spiro[2′.3]-[4-ethoxycarbonyl]-1N-methyl-pyrrolidine-spiro[2.2″]oxindole

Abstract

A structure determination of C₂₆H₂₁N₂O₄ has shown that the molecule consists of two spiro junctions involving oxindole, acenaphthene and pyrrolidine ring systems. The least-squares plane through the pyrrolidine ring atoms is almost perpendicular to that through the acenaphthene ring atoms. The pyrrolidine ring adopts a half-chair conformation. In the crystal, molecules are stabilized by intramolecular C-H…O interactions.
