Abstract
The single-crystal structure of the B′ form of nonadecanoic acid (C19H38O2) has been determined at room temperature. This solid form is triclinic P1 with Z = 4. The asymmetric unit is composed of two molecules. The cell dimensions are: a = 5.553(2)Å, b = 7.987(3)Å, c = 44.612(5)Å, α = 92.10(2)°, β = 93.05(2)°, γ = 99.64(3)° and V = 1945.8(10)Å3. The R value is 0.0887 for 2045 observed reflections.
