Crystal Structure of 2,3,6,7-Tetrabromo-9,10-dihydro-9,10-ethanoanthracene

Abstract

The title compound, C₁₆H₁₀Br₄, crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2₁/c with cell parameters of a = 14.525(5), b = 6.588(2), c = 16.327(6)Å, β = 93.440(4)°, V = 1559.5(10)ų, and Z = 4. The molecule adopts a butterfly-shaped roof structure with pseudo-C_2v symmetry.
