Crystal Structure of 2,7-Bis(phenylsulfanyl)-2,7-dimethyloct-4-yne-3,6-dione

Abstract

The title compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with a = 9.55(3), b = 10.61(4), c = 10.76(4)Å, α = 101.25(6), β = 95.96(6), γ = 94.64(6)°, V = 1058(7)ų, and Z = 2. An X-ray structure analysis of this compound proves a surprising constitution of a product, which is formed in a new type of rearrangement reaction.
