Abstract
In the six-coordinated aluminum complex present in the title compound, [Al(C14H15N2O3S)3]·C2H4Cl2, the Al(III) center adopts a highly distorted octahedral geometry, ligated by the N atoms and O atoms of three 8-hydroxy-5-piperidinylquinolinesulfonamide ligands. This octahedrally coordinated complex, meridional Al(SQ)3, crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P212121, lattice parameters a = 14.099(2)Å, b = 15.960(2)Å, c = 19.537(3)Å, V = 4396.1(12)Å3, Z = 4.
