Crystal Structure of N,N′-Bis(3-methoxysalicylidene)-1,4-diaminocyclohexane

Abstract

The structure of the title compound, C₂₂H₂₆N₂O₄, was prepared by the reaction of 3-methoxysalicylaldehyde and trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane in ethanol. There is a half molecule in the asymmetric unit, and the other half at the symmetry position (2-x, -y, 1-z). It belongs to the space group P2₁/n with cell parameters a = 6.3312(11), b = 23.967(3), c = 6.775(6)Å, β = 108.918(10)°.
