A novel tetrahedral coordinated zinc polymer was hydrothermally prepared and characterized. It was crystallized in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 12.8437(1)Å, b = 5.9596(1)Å, c = 17.2934(2)Å, β = 104.057(4)°, V = 1284.06(18)Å3 and Z = 4. The structure of the title complex consists of extended two-dimensional double helix chains.
