Abstract
The title compound, C12H11N3, was synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. In the molecule, the substituted pyridine ring is not coplanar with the azo group, and the angle between the pyridine ring and the azo plane is 7.6(2)°. However, the angle between the azo plane and the benzene ring is 9.7(2)°. The N=N distance is 1.228(2)Å.
