Abstract
Serum and organ griseofulvin levels in guinea pigs and serum levels in patients who received a prolonged oral administration of griseofulvin were determined gas-chromatographically. In guinea pigs liver showed the highest concentration of griseofulvin, followed by kidney and serum in the decreasing order. The skin levels were 0.16-1.51μg/g with a dose of 30mg/kg. In humans it was proved that griseofulvin did not cause any accumulation in the serum with a dosage of 500mg/day.
