Abstract
The sonochemical efficiency in the continuous flow sonochemical reactor with the maximum volume of 3.9 dm3 was investigated as a function of flow rate. The sonochemical efficiency was estimated by the oxidation in aqueous solution of 0.1 mol·dm-3 potassium iodide (KI). We estimated the apparent rate constant of production of I3- on the basis of the traditional modeling equation of the pipe flow reactor. The reaction rate increased with increasing flow rate but saturate at the flow rate larger than 10 dm3·h-1.
