Abstract

pH of CH₃COOH and H₂SO₄ aqueous solutions at subcritical and supercritical conditions was measured at temperatures from 25°C to 400°C and pressures from 23 MPa to 32 MPa by a flow-through electrochemical cell. The molal equilibrium constant for the dissociation reaction of CH₃COOH and H₂SO₄ was determined based on the measured pH. Effect of temperature and pressure on the dissociation constants was analyzed on the basis of Born equation.
