Abstract

In this study, a performance criterion to evaluate the environmental impact of an industry's emission is proposed. By considering permissible limit for each kind of emission, significance of reduction efforts can be easily compared. Reduction of emission in an industry can affect the amounts of emission in other industries. This criterion can deal with such relationships by using an inter-industry relations table. Some scenarios are illustrated to apply it to decision makings in environmental problems effectively.
