Abstract
Porcine pancreatic lipase (PPL) hydrolyzed N-benzyloxycarbonyl (Z)-DL-amino acid esters enantioselectively to give optically pure Z-L-amino acids. Glyceryl (Gl) and carbamoylmethyl (Cam) esters of Z-amino acids were found to be applicable for optical resolution of various protein and unusual amino acids by PPL.
