Abstract
The excess molar enthalpies (HE) of the carbon dioxide + dimethyl carbonate system were measured in the vicinity of the critical point of carbon dioxide using a flow-type isothermal microcalorimeter at temperature 308.15K and pressures from 5.0 to 7.5 MPa. Mixtures showed very exothermic behavior in those region and a strong pressure dependency of HE was also observed, and the values of HE decreased according to the increase of pressure. The experimental results were correlated using the Mayers-Scott equation.
