Abstract

The taxonomic identity of Garcinia bonii Pit. (Clusiaceae) in Vietnam was re-evaluated based on the original description and type materials and reclassified in sect. Oxycarpus, not in sect. Hebradendron (previous treatment). Garcinia bokorensis H. Toyama & Yahara of Cambodia is proposed as a new syn- onym of G. bonii based on a morphological comparison. A lectotype of G. bonii is designated and an updated distribution map is provided.
