Abstract
Mitochondrial cytochrome b (cytb) gene sequences were obtained from the invasive tubeworm Ficopomatus enigmaticus (Annelida: Serpulidae) collected at Yagura-Ryokuchi, Osaka Bay, Japan. Two lineages, Clades 1 and 2 sensu Styan et al. (2017), previously reported sympatrically in specimens collected from Australia, California, the Mediterranean, and Japan (Tama River, Tokyo), were detected. This result provides an additional case supporting the sympatric distribution of the two lineages of F. enigmaticus.
