Abstract

The purpose of the research described here was to design an archive in which the real archive and the digital archive could perform complementary roles. The documents constituting the archive are the architectural records for Seitaro Tsuboi's house, which was constructed in the Taisho era. Those records were also very important in our research for providing historical sources for the Tsuboi family. Thus, we structured an archive in which real and digital records coexist incorporating both the record of construction and the record of the subsequent history of the house. The paper describes the details of this research.
