Abstract

Short-term sensitizing anaphylactic IgG antibody(IgG S-T S)reported by Parish is thought to be not a reagin and sensitize monkey skin for 2-4 hours to give PCA-like reaction. In order to investigate the biological activity of this antibody, monkey PCA reaction was performed using the heated sera of"Konjac bronchial asthma"patients and proper allergen. IgG S-T S antibody was detected in 21.5% of"Konjac asthma"but not detected in s case of "not Konjac asthma"and not any normal subjects exposed by the same allergen. PCA reaction induced by igG S-T S was weaker and paler than that by IgE antibody. Histological study of skin site of PCA reaction showed existance of intense edema and a few migrating cells in the layer of true skin. All the patients who had IgG S-T S also had IgE antibodies and they had not necessarily severe asthma.
