Abstract
Sera of 30 patients with Kawasaki disease in acute phase and convalescent phase, as well as of 19 normal children, 20 normal adults and 10 patients with SLE, were assayed for immune complexes using the double blind method. Circulating immune complexes were measured by the C1q-solid phase assay, the monoclonal rheumatoid factor-solid phase assay and human red blood cell assay. Significantly elevated levels of immune complexes were not detected in patients with Kawasaki disease either in the acute phase or the convalescent phase by the three assays, and no significant difference was found between the levels of immune complexes in patients with Kawasaki disease and those of normal children.
