Abstract

The purpose of this report is to clarify the characteristics and development of initial skills among beekeepers. We conducted a case study of beekeepers in Yamagata. Our analysis revealed the following key findings. (1) Proliferating technique, rearing technique, protection from insect diseases, disease-coping skills, and outside-invader extermination technique are the five necessary techniques. (2) Forming human networks is significant to explore and procure honey plants.
