Abstract
The working conditions of forestry workers are inferior to those in other industries.
In our country, the forestry workers have been decreasing in number and their age has been getting older. If such situations continue, the forestry workers will cease to exist in the near future.
However recently, there are some cases that new types of workers come into forestry. This tendency has been increasing year after year.
In this paper, I investigate two subjects. First, I investigate present state of new participants. Secondly, I grasp the actual working conditions of them. In addition, I point out some problems for stabilizing the new participants. The policies of forestry workers are formed closely linked with the changing socio-economic environment. We must consider these problems from outside of forestry as well as its inside structure. One important feature of forestry has been its essential role for the conservation of natural environment. It is urgent to construct a framework for the active support of forestry and forestry workers on national basis.
