Abstract
In present rural areas the local activity sphere for commuting and living is gro wing wider as transportation im-proves. The distribution of agricultural products is also growing far and wide as road networks improve, transporta-tion facilities for agricultural products are diversified, and destination are incresed.
We propose a classfication of rural road functions of roads found in rural road network.
A classfication is the following.
1) Link I: A main role of these roads is access function leading from the cultiveted fields to agricultural facilities and from one farmhause to another farmhause.
2) Link III: A main role of these roads is traffic function connecting several zones and leading to the Node III (the des-tination market, terminal, container base) .
3) Link II: A role of these roads is mid-function between Link I and Link III
