Abstract

A questionnaire survey on the use of blades in elementary school was conducted and obtained from 1,196 samples. As results of aggregation and analysis, there are no particular regional differences. While the changes in the use of blades are strongly related to social transformation, they are less related to the Course of Study. The frequency of injuries increased as blades were removed from children's daily life. Injury is one of the causes of children disliking Arts and Crafts. One of the causes of injuries is “strange teaching” shown in textbooks. The issue pertaining to the future is how to educate and instill sense of responsibility and safe use of blades.
