Abstract

New distribution records of populations of the Latrodectus geometricus Koch 1841 (Araneae: Theridiidae) from Gujarat in India is recorded. Information on its behaviour in captivity, diet and habitat preference is also provided. Accidental synanthropic introductions are the most likely cause of these additional records.
