Abstract
A new species of the genus Neon Simon 1876 is described as Neon ferrugineus sp. nov. from Japan. The new species can be distinguished from congeners by the embolus with expanded and bifurcate apex. Female of this species is hardly discriminable from that of N. kiyotoi Ikeda 1995.
