Abstract
Growth, reproduction, web placement, and population dynamics of a rare spider Cyclosa onoi TANIKAWA were examined. This species has two generations per year, and reproduces from June to July and from September to October. The web height from the ground is very low. The population examined was very small and became extinct after examining three generations. The characteristics of life history in this species were discussed based on the comparison with closely related species.
