Tetragnatha bituberculata L. KOCH, 1867 is newly recorded from Japan. The species has been known from New Guinea and Australia. The features of Japanese specimens exactly agree with those of Australian specimens with the exception of lack of the auxiliary guide tooth of lower row of male chelicera.
