Abstract
1. The chemical constituents of the muscle layer: The amount of humin, lysine, arginine, glycocoll, alanine, phenylalanine and aspartic acid contained in the muscle layer of the jejunum is larger than that of the muscle layer of the ileum. The amount of histidine, tyrosine, glutamic acid, proline and valine contained in the former is, however, less than that of the latter.
2. The chemical constituents of the mucous membrane: The amount of lysine and phenylalanine contained in the mucous membrane of the jejunum is larger than that of the mucous membrane of the ileum. The amount of tyrosine, glutamic acid, proline, leucine and valine contained in the ileum is larger than that of the jejunum.
