Abstract
1. The alcoholic extract of an ox brain becomes a complete antigen capable of inciting the development of the organ specific antibody when it is mixed with a heterologous protein, such as a pig serum.
2. The antibody producing function of the alcoholic extract of an ox brain does not depend on its acetone soluble fraction but on the acetone insoluble fraction, namely the crude phospholipin.
3. When the crude phospholipin is purified, it loses the function of inciting the antibody formation in the animals.
4. By the hydrogenation of the crude phospholipin the active substance as an antibody producer becomes separable from the lipin and can be collected in the water soluble fraction.
5. By immunizing rabbits with the globulin prepared from an ox brain, antibodies which react organ specifically can be produced in the animals.
