Abstract
1. The improved lumiflavin method for estimating free and -esterified B2 is described in detail.
2. The lumiflavin method is exact, reproducible and specific for B2, the recoveries being always practically cemplete and the blank fluorescence can be completely removed by permanganate treatment.
3. Free and esterified B2 are equally converted to lumiiavin without preliminary enzymatic hydrolysis.
4. The distribution of free and esterified B2 in animal and vegetable tissues is reported.
