A REVISED TITRIMETRIC METHOD OF ESTIMATING CO₂ IN SMALL AMOUNT

Abstract

The principle of the new method of estimating a small amount of CO₂ reported here, is to absorb CO₂ in a NaOH solution of known concentration, and to titrate the rest of the alkali with a standard acid solution in existence of bicarbonate formed in the solution, Thymolphthalein being used as indicator.
