Abstract
1. An adequate method for separating vitamin A alcohol from vitamin A ester is described in detail.
2. For this purpose the appropriate activation of alumina is necessary, the condition of which was described.
3. Usually more than 97 per cent of the vitamin A in Liver oil is in the esterfied form.
