Abstract
One of the methods to examine the hoarseness is through analysing auditory impression. This method could not be performed by just anyone, for it takes an experienced examiner to evaluate the voice according to a set of given voice samples. However, an E.N.T. doctor is able to diagonise a pathological voice quite accurately, 70-80% probability, just by hearing the voice, whether or not he had a special training in discriminating voice samples. The doctor would diagonise subjectively, on the basis of his past experience in auditory impression of various symptoms with the patients data such as age and sex taken into consideration. We have employed the fuzzy logics to calcurate numerically the auditory impression. Me are here to report the developement of a method of diagonising such major disorders as cancer of the larynx (leukoplakia), vocal polyp, polypoid vocal fold, vocal nodule, unilateral recurrent, laryngeal nerve paralysis and suicus. by fuzzy reasoning the result obtained from questionnaires on voice.
