Abstract
In quantitative spectrographic analysis the internal standard method has most widely been applied. But this method requires several standard samples and is dependent on γ of photographic plate, so that it does not necessarily follow that this method is suitable for routine rapid analysis in industrial works.
The author has made a theoretical study on γ-elimination method, a method which eliminates the influence of the photographic γ in quantitative spectrographic analysis, and has examined whether it can be applied to routine rapid analysis or not. As the result the author has devised a simple and convenient nomographic method. Applying this method to quantitative spectrographic analysis of steels, the author has experimentally confirmed that this method has been an effective and rapid analysis method independent of standard samples and γ of photographic plate.
