Abstract
The surface tension is giver by δ=UA-TSUA where
UUA is the surface energy and SUA is the surface entropy. In the present paper we calculate SUA
statistically on the basis of very simple molecular model. The experimental formulae have been given by many authors and one of them, written by Eoivos, is δV2/3=Κ (TU0-T), and if V is taken as molan volume, Κ becomes nearly 2.1 erg/degree.
Our result is good agreement with this, though it becomes temperature dependent.
