Notes on some species of the genus Neoliomera Odhner, 1925 (Decapoda: Brachyura: Xanthidae) collected from the Ryukyu Islands, including two new records from Japan

Abstract

Five species of the xanthid genus, Neoliomera Odhner, 1925, viz. N. fragraea Ho & Ng, 2014, N. insularis (Adams & White, 1849), N. richteroides Sakai, 1969, N. striata Buitendijk, 1941 and N. variolosa (A. Milne-Edwards, 1873), are reported based on specimens collected from the Ryukyu Islands, Japan. The present study represents the first records of N. fragraea and N. variolosa to the Japanese fauna.
