Abstract

We found that p19^gag of HTLV-I and p23^gag of HTLV-II are myristylated. The p28, which is immunologically cross-reactive with monoclonal antibody against p19^gagof HTLV-I was also shown to be myristylated in the HTLV-I-infected cell lines MT-2 and HUT102. However, no myristylated p28 was found in HTLV-II-infected cell lines, Mo and Tonl.
