Abstract
Simplified prediction method using accelerated concrete prism test(CPT)for actual concrete mixture and simultaneously the test procedure for CPT required for the prediction were proposed. The prediction based on the result of CPT roughly coincided the expansion behaviors of concrete blocks(400×400×600mm)exposed to outdoors for two years. The result suggested that the proposed prediction method is not a mere aggregate test but is useful for the evaluation of actual concrete mixture although the method includes many rooms to improve. In addition, the way of calculation for accelerated ratio of CPT to realistic mixture proportion and exposure condition was discussed by using the proposed prediction. This prediction method can change the design procedure of concrete structure relating ASR. Based on the required service life of structures, it is possible to determine the duration of CPT from the calculation of accelerated ratio.
