To clarify the factor having a dominant influence on the behavior of chloride ingress and stagnation phenomenon, salt water immersion test, pore structure analysis and measurement of weight change were conducted against concrete specimen being set various initial condition. As a result, in the specimen given sealed curing and having dense pore structure and unsaturated and wet condition, high resistivity against chloride ingress and stagnation phenomenon was confirmed. Meanwhile, although chloride penetrated deep position, also in the specimen having coarse pore structure and absolute dry condition, stagnation of chloride ingress at deep position was confirmed. From the above results, it was clarified that pore structure and moisture state of concrete are the factor of resistivity against chloride ingress, especially the depth of chloride ingress, but not the main factor which causes stagnation phenomenon of chloride ingress. In addition, from the result of the specimens re-supplied moisture after drying process, it was confirmed that the behavior of chloride ingress significantly changes by the treatment method even in same level of moisture state and pore structure, and the decrease of resistivity against chloride ingress. It is considered that the position and state of moisture existing in concrete changed by the method of pretreatment.
