Abstract

In this study, we verified that reinforcing material using SFRC with high-early-strength portland cement and low shrinkage type mixture material for steel deck slabs of highway bridge. As a result, SFRC with high-early-strength portland cement and low shrinkage type mixture material secured compressive strength of concrete to 36.1N/mm2 in curing 24 hours. The proposed SFRC is secured of military requirement. In addition, the proposed SFRC has surpassed workability for longer setting time as compared with SFRC with ultra-rapid hardening cement. Fatigue experiments have shown that the proposed SFRC suppressed increase of deflection occurring on steel deck plate. Accordingly, the proposed SFRC with high-early-strength portland cement and low shrinkage type mixture material is practical for reinforcement and pavement of steel deck.
