In this study, for the purpose of establishing simple and quantitative evaluation method for handling of concrete, applicability of proctor penetration resistance of mortar was investigated as the fundamental study. In the experiment, the proctor penetration resistance of mortar was examined comparison with the method by vane shear test and influence of cement type and fine aggregate production area. As a result, since there was high correlation between the proctor penetration resistance and maximum shear stress obtained from the vane shear test, it was suggested that the penetration resistance value could be applied as simple and quantitative evaluation method for handling of concrete. Moreover, it was shown that the proctor penetration resistance could be evaluated handling of mortar with different cement and fine aggregate.
