As a part of experimental studies on the combination effect of acetyl-spiramycin and chloramphenicol, the absorption, urinary excretion, metabolism and therapeutic effect on infected mice by combined use of both substances were examined in comparison with those by the single use of respective substances. As the result, there was not so significant difference as to the absorption, excretion and metabolism between the combined use and the single use, while there was found some combination effect of two substances on mice infected with Pneumococcus, and the synergistic action was more marked on mice infected with E. conli.
