Abstract
ME 1207 was administered to 33 patients with acute uncomplicated cystitis, chronic complicated cystitis, chronic complicated pyelonephritis, acute prostatitis and chronic prostatitis to investigate its therapeutic efficacy and safety. Clinical efficacy in acute uncomplicated cystitis was excellent in all 16 patients and in chronic complicated UTI, it was excellent in 4, moderate in 5 and poor in two. According to the attendant doctor's evaluation, clinical efficacy in one acute prostatitis was excellent, and in one chronic prostatitis it was poor. No adverse effects were observed.
