We studied the metabolism of pazufloxacin (PZFX) using human plasma and urine of phase I study. The following results were obtained. 1) Trace amount of PZFXM 1, other than unchanged PZFX, was detected in plasma. 2) Unchanged PZFX, PZFXM2, PZFXM3 and PZFX glucuronide were detected in urine. 3) No chiral inversion in body was observed.
