Possibilities of the Aerial Photographing Multicopter as a New Teaching Material Development Tool for Earth Science Education

Abstract

The multicopter, a rotorcraft with more than two rotors, is used in various scenarios such as sports and archaeology. A multicopter mounted with a camera enables pictures to be taken of a place that it is difficult for a person to approach. In this study, we made an animated film showing the movement of floats in a river from the air, and developed a teaching material to aid visualization of the complicated flow of a river. Finally, the possibilities of this new teaching material for earth science using an aerial photographing multicopter are discussed.
