Regional Classification of Municipalities by Non-Hierarchical Cluster Analysis

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce the classification for municipalities and municipal classification axes obtained from principal component analysis of government statistical data for FY2020. The classification axes is obtained to represent the structure of the city. Furthermore, by projecting the classification results onto coordinate planes and space, we can visualize the spread of each type and the location of each municipality and show how the classification results can be explicitly expressed.
