Commentary on Seismic Design of Viaduct Structures

Abstract

Key issues are described on the seismic design of roadway and railway viaduct structures focusing on following topics; 1)displacement ductility as seismic capacity index, 2)multi loading effect, 3)P-δ effect, 4)eccentric axial load effect, 5)shear design of beam column joint and 6)that of footing.
