Characteristics and Effects of Accelerator Containing C-S-H Nanoparticles

Abstract

Accelerator whose main component is nanoparticles of calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H-type accelerator) promotes the hydration of cement by accelerating the reaction of C-S-H with the nanoparticles serving as crystal nuclei. This paper describes the cement hydration promotion mechanism of C-S-H-type accelerator, its effect on various properties when it is added to concrete, and its effect on product manufacturing time of precast concrete which was determined through test production using actual product manufacturing line.
